NFC World Congress

16-18 June 2009 | Brussels, Belgium

Workshop

Get up to speed with NFC and make the most of the NFC World Congress

The NFC Workshop is designed to bring newcomers to the field completely up-to-speed with the subject in one day.

The NFC Workshop is led by Sarah Clark, editor of Near Field Communications World and, as conference director of the NFC World Congress, responsible for the overall congress programme.

Sarah will be joined during the day by experts in particular aspects of the NFC ecosystem, ensuring participants get a world class introduction to NFC, its potential, the current state of play in the industry, suppliers, design issues etc.

The NFC Workshop programme is split into five main sections:

  • What is NFC and how does it work?
  • The business case for NFC — the opportunity available and the barriers to success
  • NFC Applications — current field trials and future applications
  • How NFC works — the technology, the NFC ecosystem
  • Solutions and suppliers — commercially available solutions
  • Using NFC — the building blocks of a successful NFC programme

The NFC Workshop will take place at the Sheraton Brussels Airport Hotel on day one of the event.
